As a member of TDS you will be part of a diverse network of theatre directors living and working throughout Scotland. We host a wide range of events, activities and facilities so that our members are supported to develop their best artistic and managerial practice. This work is sustained by extensive programmes of networking and training across a variety of artistic and technical disciplines.
We also engage with causes and policies which relate to or impact the profession of theatre directing in Scotland. We are here to represent your interests and will undertake strategic lobbying and advocacy on behalf of the sector.
We look forward to welcoming you into our network where you can connect with our member partners, groups and individuals who all share a motivation to improving the theatre and performing arts sector of Scotland. Together we aim to develop Scotland’s cultural role locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

Covid 19
We want as many directors to access help as possible so we are extending perks to pending members, meaning if you sign up today we will not demand the full payment of membership but rather ask that you agree a payment plan with us, starting at our next AGM in autumn. You will then become a pending member and enjoy all membership benefits. We hope this means finances will not be a barrier for folk enjoying our services in these difficult times. If you have any questions about this please do not hesitate to get in touch.
